Hope you find some help.
Sorry I can't.

the pantecdoel sucks go with the blackjack2. The pantecdoel has an external speaker that when you get a call or a tect message the person that you are in a call with can hear mobilespeak going off. Its also kind of flimsy in my opion. The blackjack2 has the QWERTY keyboard on the frond the keys are good size so you don't feel like your fingers are to big fore them. Trust me with ATT I've been throught the Pantecdoel, motoq, and the lat thing i tried was the blackjack2 and it should have been my first I love it.

hm, well we ordered the Duo, and I can't wait for it to come in. I'm good with things with semi-small buttons. I think I'll be fine, but I am curious on how and what sites I can brouse with the internet, could I get on the zone with it, or fanfiction, or others?

I'm not sure I really think you should go take a look at the blackjack2 I think you will like that much better. Also people on the mss list seem to like the blackjack2 better as well

Post 6 by The Elemental Dragon (queen of dragons) on Tuesday, 24-Jun-2008 13:17:24

why, what's the difference?

and plus the phones are already being ordered, and I don't want to change phone providers, I've been with ATT for all of my phones, even when they were still singular.

att has the blackjack2 instead of having a slider phone you will have a open phone the qwerty keyboard is right there so you van have it without having to slide the phone. I promise its so much easyer to use than the pantec go to an att store near you and check it out and it cost less as well. You will also find that with texting the qwerty on the blackjack2 is much better.

hm, but to have it right there, just sounds too bulky, I got my pantech duo today and I so far like it. I can't use it yet, but I like it. the keyboard does feel like some leters are missing, but that might just be me. I'll know more later tonight.

I was ready to toss my phone out the window earlier today, I had a voice that the ATT people didn't support for mobile speak, so I had to uninstaul the one I had and get one of the ones they would support, and that was a pain in itself, but then the thing downloaded, but wouldn't do anything, so I played around with it for three hours, and finally got it to talk again, but it is only running in 10 minute demo mode, so tomorrow first thing I'm calling them, to get the full liceonce, but that is still going to take four days to come in, so what does that mean, I have to keep restarting my phone every 10 minutes, do you know how aggrivating that will be? or even worse, to avoide that I just won't use it for the week. but still, that is annoying.

I've had the Pantech Duo for a couple of weeks and like it a lot. I chose the duo over the Blackjack 2 and the Q because after the Nokia 6620 I've had enough of open-face phones. I haven't gotten used to the tiny little keyboard but I know it is just a matter of time. There is a setting in the MSS control panel which allows you to change the synth volume during calls or have speech mute entirely. I set the volume to "1" so if I really need to add people to a conference or turn on speakerphone I just plant the speaker on my ear for a second. No bluetooth 2 and a crappy camera (how dare they!) but a stronger processor, so I will assume that MSS runs a little faster. Plus I like the form-factor.

P.s. AT&T sells mobile speak licenses for $90 for their phones. Contact their accessibility department; just do a search on wireless.att.com for "mobile speak."

Post 14 by The Elemental Dragon (queen of dragons) on Saturday, 26-Jul-2008 18:28:32

that's what I did, but is there a manuel for the mobile speak, because I have problems in web pages sometimes, and on other things.

and what voice are you using. I just bought my liceonce today, but won't have it till wensday or thursday, it takes 3-4 business days, which is rather annoying.

hey I am actually switching back to att and wantedthe the Pantech Duo. I already have MS for windows smart phone because I right now hav the q from sprint. Let me ask this because I did not get it in the previous post. So does the duo have a camera and bluetooth or no. Thanks a lot.

Post 16 by The Elemental Dragon (queen of dragons) on Sunday, 27-Jul-2008 18:49:25

Hope that helps Jess!!

I just didn't like it because even as the valume was at the lowest setting people could still hear the voice and I just thought that was annoying and I thought the qwerty was way to small

hmmmmmm, I had the duo, and at first I loved it. It's a sexy phone, I'll give it that, but that's all it has going for it. It's flimsy, and extremely delicate. I had mine for seven months, and the screen practically fell off. It's not a good phone at all. I'm back to using a phone without mobilespeak, until i have money. When I do, I'm going to buy a new phone. Is the blackjack 2 small?? Is it sexy? lol.

I know this board is from months ago but I managed to find it and have a question; hopefully someone can tell me the answer. when I went to codefactory and clicked all the downloads stuff I only phoned two things under pantec, the pantec c something and pantec pn something. Nothing spacifically said the pantec duo which is the phone I plan to get. So is one of those two phones the model number for the phone I need or something different all together. if tit's something totally different then where can I download the ten min trial thing? I must be doing something wrong. Also, is it right that once I buy the licence I can just enter it in to the software I've already downloaded?
Sorry, I've never done anything like this before so I have a lot of questions.
Thanks.
Nisa

I won one of those phones, and found it impossible to use. the keyboard was so small, and, well I just didn't like it. Can't wait to sell the darn thing!! Oh I also found it to be just to small to try and talk if you had to hold it in a different way. just my opinion.

Post 21 by kamalani (Generic Zoner) on Monday, 01-Dec-2008 17:06:14

I got mine yesterday, and I'm liking it. I installed mobile speak myself and activated the trial thing. and it's great!

I've had mine for about a month and I rather like it. I haven't really had much of a problem that people have been talking about the other party hearing MS loudly or anything like that. Oh, and the pantech duo is the same thing as the pantech c810. Hope that helps.

I hope they come out with more phones that are accessible because att has some cool phones out now
